Close to 53,500 Americans will be diagnosed with oral oropharyngeal cancer this year.

It will cause over 9,750 deaths, killing roughly 1 person per hour, 24 hours per day.

Please join us for our 7th annual 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, September 17, 2022 @ 9 a.m. through the scenic pathways of Kensington Metro Park. The course starts at the West Boat Launch Picnic Shelter (signage will be provided to guide you in). Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate on this easy course. The first 100 participants to register will receive a gift bag on race day! Also the TOP 5 runners will receive cash prizes! We will be following our local health department and CDC current guidelines during the event and may add additional features as mandated restrictions are lifted. We HIGHLY recommend early registration to reserve your spot, as this event will be following our limited outdoor gathering restrictions. Registration on race day begins at 7 a.m. and the 5K starts at 9 a.m. Bibs MUST be displayed & worn to participate. All participants are welcomed to stay after the race to enjoy a beautiful day at the park.

Our mission  is fueled by our dedicated committee of hygienists and dental professionals, along with support from local head and neck surgeons, caregivers, volunteers, sponsors and patient advisors who are united to one common goal; to help find a cure for this devastating disease and help those impacted by oral oropharyngeal cancer live longer, healthier and fuller lives.
